The AACP
believes that the integrative approach to
healthcare optimizes resources and serves the
patient well. No one theory is complete. The
patient is best served with timely, direct
access to healthcare, safe and conservative
diagnostic and treatment protocols, within the
context of an integrated setting, which includes
the chiropractic physician. |
|
2. |
The AACP
promotes the practice of chiropractic
medicine as an integral part of primary care
and promotes clinical management utilizing
diagnostic procedures, science and research
based clinical outcomes and best practices as
the methods of patient management. |
|
3. |
The AACP
believes that chiropractic physicians should
not have arbitrary restrictions placed on their
scopes of practice, but should be able to
practice within the context of their training as
established in the Standards set by the Council
on Chiropractic Education. |
|
4. |
The AACP believes that generally
accepted standards of public safety and training
have been implemented for allopathic methods,
and as such have been determined to be safe and
effective. Chiropractic physicians using
allopathic or chiropractic methods of care,
should at a minimum, adhere to the generally
accepted safety and utilization standards,
protocols and procedures, thereby insuring
the public health, welfare and safety.
