Who We Are

The American Academy of Chiropractic Physicians (AACP) is a professional organization representing Chiropractic Physicians. Its mission is to preserve, protect, improve and promote the chiropractic medical profession and the services of Chiropractic Physicians for the benefit of the patients they serve.

The AACP will continue to combat third-party interference with the physician-patient relationship, including advancing antitrust reform, eliminating unnecessary red tape and unfair payment practices; and fighting for reimbursement decisions that are based on optimal patient care, not economics.
The AACP supports the improvement of the public health through lifestyle and behavior modification, better access to needed services, moderation of healthcare cost increases, and better quality of care and patient satisfaction.

The AACP is aggressively involved in advocacy efforts related to the most vital issues in chiropractic medicine today, including unimpeded, direct patient access, Medicare chiropractic physician payment reform, expanding coverage for the uninsured and increasing access to care, improving the public health, managed care reform,  best practices and the delivery of primary  care for those chiropractic physicians who have the training and clinical competencies.
